Membership and Events Coordinator

The Norman Rockwell Museum has an immediate opening for an energetic, detail-oriented individual to assist with the coordination of the Museum’s membership program and special events operations.

This position will be responsible for coordinating special events by handling incoming inquiries and coordinating caterers and rental suppliers for all internal and external events. Onsite presence is required during rental/special events to meet the needs of clients, including set-up, clean-up and closing Museum.

The coordinator will provide assistance in all fundraising activities including membership programs, corporate giving and sponsorships. Responsibilities include processing and entering memberships/donations, updating database for all constituencies, typing letters, completing mailings and general administrative help.

The coordinator will assist in the organization and support of all activities in the community relations department such as board meetings, exhibition openings, and annual gala.

This position is full time, Monday through Friday, with ability to work evening and weekend hours as required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, graciousness, cooperation, good judgment, and will be a natural host/ess and team player, and must react to changing situations with competence and good humor.

Associate’s degree preferred. Must have two to four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
